API testing. API testing is a type of software testing that involves testing application programming interfaces (APIs) directly and as part of integration testing to determine if they meet expectations for functionality, reliability, performance, and security. Since APIs lack a GUI, API testing is performed at the message layer.

 

Postman is a popular API client that makes it easy for developers to create, share, test and document APIs. This is done by allowing users to create and save simple and complex HTTP/s requests, as well as read their responses. The result - more efficient and less tedious work.
GitHub is a web-based Git repository hosting service. It offers all of the distributed revision control and source code management (SCM) functionality of Git as well as adding its own features.

The task of designing a web service or API that adheres to the REST guidelines then becomes an exercise in identifying the resources that will be exposed and how they will be affected by the different request methods.

Building web services with Flask is surprisingly simple, much simpler than building complete server side applications.

Using Postman to test a web service is the best idea since Postman can easily generate all types of HTTP requests. 

PyTest is a mature full-featured Python testing tool that helps you write better
programs that can be used to test REST APIs. 
 

Github, is a web-based hosting service for version control using Git. It is used for computer code. It offers all of the distributed version control and source code management (SCM) functionality of Git as well as adding its own features. 

SQL/SQLite - SQLite is an embedded SQL database engine. Unlike most other SQL databases, SQLite does not have a separate server process. SQLite reads and writes directly to ordinary disk files. A complete SQL database with multiple tables, indices, triggers, and views, is contained in a single disk file.
